A long day! The only way I could fit my walk in today was to wait until I got to London this evening and then walk from Kings Cross to Victoria. At 10pm. Which meant a slightly nerve wracking jaunt across St James’ Park in the dark (I had to ask a persistent beggar to stop walking alongside me and leave me alone). But did offer a lovely view of Buckingham Palace.

And I’ve ended up with a fabulous hotel room – actually a two-bedroom apartment with a sitting room and a kitchen – which considering its only little old me is a bit crazy but the bed is amazingly comfortable!
