Today was a real struggle, and although I managed to stitch my hour of walking together from tramping across Hoxton, Gatwick and Dublin – it wasn’t a good feeling….
Another run this morning – along the Regents Canal – for an hour. And then a half day on my feet facilitating a pitch-off session. It felt good to do the running!
A yomp, involving a suitcase and a rucksack, from Victoria to the Euston Road. After a work day that began at 04.45am. And eventually lasted until 23.00….. yikes. Got my steps done though!
Well now here’s a thing…. my 06.00 walk this morning turned out not to be a walk at all, but a run! I’m not sure what possessed me (and I didn’t run all of it non-stop to be honest), but there you are. I ran 5k. I made up the steps deficit with a ramble …
After nearly drowning in mud yesterday an amble along the canal path today. Dry underfoot, if cold. And a ninety minute walk cheered up by phone calls with two of my favourite women. Not enough exercise in the rest of the day, sadly though…..
A poorly dog led to a disturbed night and some truly appalling cleaning up required in the kitchen. Yuck. Remedied only by a walk in the woods which turned into a soggy mess – snow melt and golf course drainage trenches combining to create enormous seas of mud in otherwise well kept footpaths!
I’ve upped my steps target. And strode out early this morning for nothing more energetic than a haircut. Although I did manage to get my hour in at lunchtime, eventually.
